10 Ways To Extend Your iPhone’s Battery Life

Apple's iPhone is considered one of the best smartphones in the world. People always want to show off their status by having these phones. It has a stylish design and a great user experience. Although iPhone costs a lot, it is used by many people all over the world. It is necessary to have an idea about how to take care of iPhone and how to extend the battery life of iPhone. This is slightly similar to increasing the processing speed of iMac & Mac. Let's see how you can extend the battery life of iPhone by turning off unnecessary services.

1. Turn off unnecessary System Services

System Services are mostly running in the background. They display alerts and suggestions based on your location. It can share your locations and set your iPhone's time based on your location changes. You may also get ads that match your current location. This can affect your iPhone's processing speed as well as your iPhone's battery life. To prevent these services from slowing down your iPhone, turn off the following System Services.

Go to Settings-> Privacy-> Location Services -> System Services. Turn off the following here.
  • Compass Calibration
  • Device Management
  • HomeKit
  • Location-Based Alerts
  • Location-Based Suggestions
  • Motion Calibration & Distance
  • Networking & Wireless
  • Setting Time Zone
  • Share My Location
  • System Customization
  • Wi-Fi Calling

2. Turn Off Significant Locations

Significant Location Services track the places you visit and then display the appropriate ads for that location. This reduces battery life and iPhone speed by showing so many ads. To disable this service,

Go to Settings-> Privacy-> Location Services-> System Services-> Significant Location. Disable Significant Location services here.

3. Turn Off All Product Improvement Settings

The Product Improvement service may send data about usage of GPS, Map-Related to Apple to improve these features. It shares information about traffic conditions with the Maps app. Sending this information to Apple will reduce battery life. You can turn this off by following these steps.

Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Product Improvement. Here, turn off everything under Product Improvement.

4. Turn Off Unnecessary Location Services

Another way to save battery is to set limits on app usage at Location Services.

Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services. Here, select the apps that you don't want to give location access to. For other apps, you can allow location access with certain conditions like "Turn on location service only while I am using the app" etc.

5. Turn Off Personalized Ads

Apple displays the Personalized Ads in relation to your interest and searches on your iPhone. This will reduce battery life and also it is not necessary to share all your information with Apple.

Here's how to turn off these suggestions, Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Apple Advertising. Here, turn off the settings Personalized Ads.

6. Turn Off Analytics & Improvements

The Analytics & Improvement service sends the data regarding your usage of each app and the response time you get from those apps. Apple uses this data to improve its product features. However, this comes at the cost of battery power.

Here's how to turn off this service, Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Analytics & Enhancements. Turn off all settings here.

7. Turn Off Tracking

In my opinion, tracking is not a good option. To protect your iPhone from tracking,

Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Tracking. Disable the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" setting here.

8. Turn Off In-App Ratings & Reviews

This service is an unnecessary service. Here's how to prevent this service from reducing your battery life,

,

Go to Settings -> App Store. Disable the In-App Ratings & Reviews settings here.

9. Turn Off Push Mail

Go to Settings -> Mail -> Accounts. Here, disable the Push setting and Set Fetch mail to Every 15 minutes to save battery life.
